In 1942, the US government forced 120,000 West Coast residents of Japanese ancestry into camps surrounded by guards and barbed wire—most were US citizens. That action has repercussions to this day. The story of that forced relocation will be reviewed through photographs—many of which were impounded by the US Army— and the results of archeological investigations at the camp sites.
Presented by Dr. Joel Klein, Past President of the Professional Archeologists of New York City.
