The beloved Fisherman’s Fair is back with a twist of old favorites and new traditions!!
This year, we will have a combined event with the Springs Agricultural Fair. Come listen to live music from local musicians, enjoy clams, the children’s area and the chicken drop contest along with craft and food vendors. Check out amazing local art at the 55th Annual Springs Artists Invitational inside Ashawagh Hall.
There will be something for everyone so bring the whole family and enjoy the historic traditions of Springs.
Free Tai Chi in Mitchell Park
Join the Friends of Mitchell Park for Tai Chi in Mitchell Park on Saturday mornings from May – October at 9am, led by Tai Chi instructor, Denise Gillies. These sessions are weather permitting please visit the Friends of Mitchell Park website for updates and cancellations.
Friends of The Big Duck are holding their Tenth Annual Rubber Duckie Race on Saturday, August 6, 11 AM (raindate August 7). The family-friendly event is free. Enjoy a great view of the competition on Reeves Bay from the lawn of the Flanders Men’s Club, which is down the access road just east of The Big Duck. There will be games and giveaways for children.
For a $5 donation (or 5 for $20), you can enter the race. You are assigned a number that is on one of the rubber duckies that are launched into Reeves Bay at Noon sharp. Prize baskets that include BigDuckabilia, children’s books and gift certificates from several local merchants will be awarded for first, second, third and last place. You do not need to be present to win.
